IN-DEPTH STUDIES (Version 2, January 2012)
The OHS Lending Library of In-Depth Studies (IDS) was established in 1998 to compliment the OHS education program. These studies are available to any OHS member. The Library is based at the Ottawa Valley Weavers’ and Spinners’ Guild and managed by the OHS Librarian, Laurie Harkin-Chiasson.
The following Lending Protocols are effective: January, 2011
Borrowing Fee:
Rates apply to shipping within Ontario.
Studies have been catalogued by code letters S, M, and L, to indicate their shipping cost.
Small - $10 Medium - $12 Large - $14
Members outside Ontario will be required to pay a small surcharge, to cover extra shipping costs. Canadian funds.
Surcharge: Other Provinces - $2 Outside Canada - $4
Loan Period:
Loan period is 6 weeks. An IDS may be reserved, if your request is already on loan. By request to the Librarian, an IDS may be renewed for one additional 3 week period, provided it is not on the reserved list.
Shipping:
In-Depth Studies are sent to the borrower by the OHS Librarian. They must be returned to same, at the borrower’s expense.
Shipping is via “Regular Parcel” (with a tracking number) , or “Expedited Parcel” (also a tracking number.
Return shipping should also be by “Regular Parcel”, or “Expedited Parcel”.
Request:
To borrow from the IDS Library; Mail, E-mail or Phone in your request and payment to the OHS Librarian. Please include e-mail address, if you have one, so tracking numbers can be forwarded, once the parcel is sent.
Cheques should be made payable to: Ontario Handweavers and Spinners.
